At around 10:30 on March 31, the Shanxi Evening News reporter arrived at Wuyi Square, where the three fountains "Voice of Jinquan," "Lotus Holding Pearl" in the North Square, and "Life's Imagination" in the South Square had already started spraying water, attracting many citizens to stop and watch. Shihara Ping, a staff member responsible for fountain equipment management at the Wuyi Square Park Management Office, was adjusting the fountain's spray patterns while recording a short video of the fountain spraying water with his phone.

"Since March 23, I have been conducting comprehensive repairs and maintenance on the three fountain facilities in the park. To give visitors a fresh experience, I also adjusted new patterns for the fountains," Shihara Ping said while adjusting the different spray patterns of the fountain. The Shanxi Evening News reporter observed that the fountain sometimes resembled a long sword, and at other times looked like clusters of fireworks... A gentle breeze blew, dispersing the mist in the air, while the sounds of children playing and cheering echoed around.

It is understood that the musical fountain stops spraying water every year around November 15 until around March 20 of the following year, and resumed on March 30. This maintenance mainly included the fountain's electrical system, pipelines, motors, and wiring, with comprehensive repairs conducted on 55 water pumps; inspection of 5000 meters of cables and waterproof lines; rust prevention treatment on 260 meters of pipelines; and fine-tuning of the fountain patterns. The fountains in Wuyi Square spray water ten times a day, with the opening times being 7:30, 9:00, 10:30, 11:40, 13:30, 14:20, 16:00, 17:40, 18:40, and 19:30 each day, with each session lasting 30 to 50 minutes.
