Therefore, while using chemical methods to treat water quality may yield immediate results, the harm is also evident.

Analysis of the Reasons for Pollution in Artificial Landscape Water Bodies:
Generally speaking, there are four main reasons for water quality pollution in artificial landscape water bodies: inherent deficiencies in source water quality, open environments, small environmental capacity, and loose management. The water sources for general landscape water mainly come from tap water, reclaimed water, river water, and rainwater supplementation. Except for tap water, the quality of other source waters cannot be guaranteed.
The characteristics of artificial landscapes, such as "publicness" and "familiarity," also contribute to the rapid pollution of water quality. Open environments often introduce pollutants into the landscape water bodies. Artificial landscape water bodies are mostly closed or slow-moving water bodies with limited contact with air, resulting in insufficient dissolved oxygen; the variety of aquatic organisms is limited, making it impossible to form a complete aquatic ecosystem. Therefore, the environmental capacity is small, and the self-purification ability of the water is low. Additionally, some landscape designs are unscientific and lack attention to water quality environmental protection, leading to the frequent occurrence of stagnant flow areas in artificial landscapes.
Various pollutants will accumulate in stagnant areas and gradually pollute the entire artificial environment. The "publicness" characteristic of artificial landscapes also easily leads to a "diffusion of responsibility effect." The "collective indifference" resulting in a lack of management makes it difficult to effectively address environmental issues, which is also a reason for the poor water quality in artificial landscapes.

China's sanitary standards for artificial swimming pool water quality:
1. Water temperature: 22--26℃
2. pH value: 6.5--8.5
3. Turbidity: less than or equal to 5 NTU
4. Urea: less than or equal to 3.5 mg/l
5. Free residual chlorine: 0.3--0.5 mg/l
6. Total bacteria count: less than or equal to 1000 per ml
7. E. coli: less than or equal to 18 µg/l
International Swimming Federation Swimming Pool Water Quality Standards:
1. Water temperature: 25--27℃
2. pH value: 7.2--7.6
3. Turbidity: less than or equal to 0.1 NTU (before entering the pool)
4. Free residual chlorine: 0.3--0.6 mg/l
5. Total bacteria count: less than or equal to 100 per ml
6. E. coli: not detectable
7. Dichloromethane: less than or equal to 20 µg/l
